September has been glorious - day after day of sunshine, it's just a shame I had to be in work! The pattern is called scotch faggot cable and has both lace and cable stitches, the repeats made it very easy to do:
It's getting difficult to photograph the whole scarf now, but I love the way you can clearly see what a brilliant summer we have had.

August.........
A week on a Greek Island has contributed to the bright blue week during this month:
The overall scarf is now a useable length - just another 4 months to go and I think it's going to be much taller than I am!!
I used a quite complicated cable pattern during this month, it was really tricky to keep on top of whether I was going over or under and exactly when I needed to complete each cable - I don't plan to use such a complicated pattern again during this project!

July.........
The lovely summer has continued, in fact it has almost been too hot on occasion - at least the schools have now broken up so I don't have to try and teach in this lovely weather!
This month I have completed some very wide striped cables, worked with 3 stitches:
The scarf is now getting so long it is difficult to fit it all into a picture:

June........
June has been a lovely sunny month - hence the large chunks of pale blue. The pattern this month has been a pair of honeycomb stitch strips either side of two middle 5 stitch cables:
The scarf is now half way to the final length - if I go all the way to the 31st December it is going to be a very long scarf!!

May........
This month I continued with the simple 4 stitch cables, introducing the 'falling leaves' pattern into the 12 stitch sections:
As you can see the overall scarf is starting to get quite long now, I'm on to my second ball of cream wool already.........
A few nice sunny days this month!
April.......
The 4 stitch cable pattern has continued this month but I have included some very large k1, p1, cables over the wider sections:
The whole week of cream rows shows the week of the Saharan dust cloud - we didn't see the sky at all that week!
The overall scarf, should be a third of the final length by now......
March.......
This month I have kept the 4 stitch cables and used a ripple stitch for the 12 stitch sections, this didn't quite turn out as I'd anticipated but as is often the case I quite like the effect!
The scarf so far, a quarter of the way through:
